Tracy Eldridge

After 25+ years in Public Safety, Tracy has recently launched her own company/podcast, On Scene First, which focuses on educating public safety professionals on must-have technology tools, leadership skills, and mental health resources to "save lives on both sides of the call."
She spent many years serving her community in rural Massachusetts, from the dispatcher to the chief dispatcher. She remains an on-call firefighter/EMT at her local fire department. She is also one of the lead instructors for their Fire/EMS Explorer post.
Over the last 12 years, she has enjoyed traveling and training 9-1-1 telecommunicators nationwide in her part-time role with The Public Safety Group.
Tracy spent four years at RapidSOS. While there, she played a pivotal role in building the world's first emergency response data platform and successfully delivering device-based locations to 9-1-1 and field responders, saving thousands of lives.
With a passion for public speaking and mental health, Tracy has also been recognized nationally for her efforts to train on and bring awareness to PTSD in all public safety disciplines through conference training sessions, webinars, and keynote presentations.
Tracy has been the proud recipient of the 2007 Jeff Grossman Telecommunicator of the Year Award, The 2018 Illinois Chapter of APCO, "Presidential Award," the 2018 Illinois Chapter of NENA, "Sponsorship Award" and the NG911 Institute 2020 "Industry Professional of the Year."
