TACTICAL TOOLS FOR THRIVING- KENTUCKY FIRST RESPONDER PEER SUPPORT TEAM
Join us for an exciting event designed exclusively for First Responders! The Tactical Tools for Thriving workshop will equip you with essential skills to support your fellow responders. This in-person event will be held at the St. Elizabeth Training and Education Center (SETEC) in Erlanger, KY, USA. Don't miss this opportunity to enhance your peer support team and strengthen your community.
Expanded to two days for 2024, the First Responder Symposium will bring national and local speakers to educate attendees on the current health related issues that first responders face.
Day 1 at SETEC will keynote with a first responder discussion panel sharing stories of personal tragedy to triumph. Followed by a private screening and Q&A session of PTSD 911 the documentary with the director Conrad Weaver. After lunch, Rocco will share his personal story with the creation of Camp Hero. Followed by Dr. Kruer speaking on the breakthrough Stellate Ganglion Block Therapy. And Cinnamon Reidheld will conclude the day with childhood trauma, specifically the Adverse Childhood Experiences survey, and understanding how your brain works so you can do something about it.
A special spouse event will take place on the evening of Day 1. Enjoy an intimate night out with your significant other, as Jo Terry and Alison Fienning make you laugh and cry while giving you some tools designed to help your personal relationships flourish. Snacks and refreshments are included! The spouse event will take place at the Boone County Extension Enrichment Center, located at 1824 Patrick Drive, is the newer brick building closest to Burger King off KY-18. It will be held in the lower level of the enrichment center. Parking will be in the lower lot next to Burger King and enter through the sliding glass doors located under the overhang.
Day 2 at Setec will kick off with a keynote by Jake Clark, President and Founder of Save a Warrior, followed by a panel of Save a Warrior Alumni discussing their personal stories of struggle and growth. Break out sessions will follow with topics including equine therapy, pet therapy, PCIS, nutrition, fitness, yoga and much much more.
